My Research

The project will broadly look at the ways in which bias and uncertainty present and affect geoscience interpretation, specifically in fracture datasets.

The first phase of experiments has revealed that as a community of geoscientists, we generally agree on large scale, "obvious" structural elements. However, the detail beyond starts to show just how variable and different our individual observations of fractures can be!

I will be carrying out workshops asking geoscientists to interpret different fracture datasets. If you are interested in being contacted about taking part in these, please use the subscribe button at the bottom of the Home tab to register your interest.
